The Impact Of The Peak Oil Crisis
The peak oil crisis is looming large into the minds of people and all are concerned about its impact on their everyday life. Researched by Hubert, the theory has been widely supported by environmentalists and has grabbed the attention of everybody. It has become like a global issue and has got rave reviews from people all over the world. As well all know that most of the nations depending on oil such as India, china and the US have critically shared their opinions about this growing theory. These nations have so far used fossil fuels for the production and extraction of oil. Coal mines are now getting exhausted due to the sudden demand and supply of oil.
Oil being a non renewable source, will get depleted soon and so new methods or alternatives have to be found at the earliest. Fossil fuels would soon become extinct, thus forcing the major oil producing countries to hike the prices. It would create an economic outburst and cannot be handled by the under developed nations. So far, studies have been conducted to understand the true nature of these oil reserves and also their capacity to sustain economical balance globally. These studies have revealed that these oil reserves stand a good chance for another decade.
The Middle East oil producing countries have drastically reduced the production of oil by 20,000 barrels per day. They are known to have single handedly supplied close to 80,000 barrels of oil per day to the neighboring countries. It would be a tough blow to the shatter the economic conditions of these oil producing countries. Besides that, there are policies and norms set by the OPEC committee members to restrict the production of oil and not to exceed beyond the set limit. This has been carried out in order to flatten the economic bulge that surfaced during the 1980s and also to keep a check on the peak oil theory.
Global demands for oil has risen up in recent times thus making the peak oil theory to be a reality. This sudden demand of oil will definitely disturb the economical scale on a global front. Effective measures have to be taken to handle this upcoming crisis in a positive manner. The immediate solution would be to find out alternative methods and one that uses less fuel. In other words, use other sources like electricity for producing energy. Some also deploy the use of nuclear power as a backup alternative to fuel.
The current scenario wants us to get reformed by searching new technologies to reduce the peak oil crisis from booming up. With major milestones covered with green technology, wind power and solar energy, the life of fossil fuels can be extended to a certain limit. It calls for using them in the right amount and in the right way, so that we do not face the peak oil crisis very soon. Stabilizing the present day with awareness and new alternatives would help us be better prepared during a point, where oil seems to be a distant answer. Peak oil concept is a looming danger to all and should be averted at the earliest.
